Doesn't everyone need a cashmere pencil case?
My super-productive streak came to a halt today when my complete attention turned to my eye exam and prescription for glasses, my first ever glasses.
I'm relieved at this diagnosis because I was having some vision symptoms, like not being able to see the object in focus through the viewfinder of my camera, which was already fully adjusted on the focus dial as far as it could go.
The real jolt for me is that I have never thought about glasses before, or shopped for them. I realize now that I've never even noticed how many people wear glasses. Everywhere I went today, I saw people wearing glasses. These are people I know and see all the time.
My shopping research is underway. I am surprised that most glasses wearers own one pair. I'd think you'd want two or three different ones, like different clothes and shoes, to suit your mood for the day.
My, what a price range on these things. You can pay 50 bucks for frames (plus more for lenses) and upwards to over a thousand dollars if you want some newfangled designer frames, hand crafted in Paris. I can't afford those but it helps to look for cross comparison to the more affordable versions. Of course I'm also researching face shape and color, material, etc.
Hopefully the newness of this will wear off soon so I can get back to all the things I was doing before my mind went all jelly-like.
