Warm Spring Day

Julia is recovering from her bout with pneumonia.  We enjoyed a very warm day outside yesterday.  Julia was able to play with her water table toy a short time until getting wet and needing to change clothes.  She will be able to play longer as the days grow from warm to hot. The girls also had fun on the swing set.  It's great to get into the backyard again.

Another warm day!  

First Warm Day of the Year

Finally, a lovely warm day!  Yes, that is still snow you see in our backyard.  It's taking forever to melt off this Spring because we had such a huge amount of snow this winter.  Today was warm and mild.  It felt as good as any day ever.  During the part of the day Julia was at preschool, I jogged 4 miles while pushing Ellie in the jogging stroller.  We marveled at the blue sky, the woodsy scent of the forrest, the babbling brooks coming off Moose Mountain.  We heard woodpeckers knocking at the trees.  We heard wild turkeys foraging around the wetlands. There were hardly any cars on the road either, perfect timing for a jog to soak up the day.  After picking up Julia later, we enjoyed some swinging in the backyard.  Julia clearly loves the swings just as much as her sister.
